A South African take on the classic Apple Pie - made with a Jaffle iron, and served with First Choice Custard!

Peel and core the apples, then cut into small cubes.
Melt the First Choice Butter in a medium sized pot, then add the spices and salt to the melted butter.
Add the sugar and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Add cubed apples to the pot and reduce the heat. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
Mix the cornflour with 1/3 cup of water and stir the mixture into the pot until it thickens the apple filling.
Cut the raisin loaf into slices and butter on both sides.
Place a slice in jaffle iron and fill with apple mixture, then cover with another slice and keep it over the heat until golden brown.
Heat the jaffle iron over gas flame until brown on both sides.
Dust the jaffle lightly with castor sugar and serve with First Choice Custard!
